Meet the Original Spark
Long before Jollity Studios became the vibrant, remote-friendly, get-sh*t-done creative studio it is today, it was just an idea sparked by Lauren Perfors—strategic thinker, passionate creative, and co-founder of Jollity. A former VP at a prominent SEO agency, Lauren didn’t just wake up one day and decide to start her own business. It was more of a slow-build energy. A beat that kept getting louder.
We built up to this. I wanted to grow something. I wanted to help small businesses. I wanted to do it better.
So, she launched Jollity—with a clear vision, a ton of experience, and a not-so-small obsession with doing things differently (and better).
A Remote Agency Before It Was Cool
There’s no reason why everything shouldn’t be shared. I’m a huge proponent of collaboration, communication, and transparency. Everyone should be able to jump in and keep things moving.
Lauren’s vision was never just about building websites. It was about building a better way to work—collaboratively, transparently, and without the grind of traditional agency life. Jollity has been fully remote since day one (a full decade before the pandemic made it trendy), and Lauren baked in systems of accountability and shared knowledge from the start.
That approach is a big part of what makes Jollity different. Flexible work hours, seamless project handoffs, and a deep respect for each team member’s strengths all trace back to Lauren’s leadership style.
Why Jollity Works (and Wins)
While some agencies chase every shiny new service, Lauren kept Jollity laser-focused.
You can’t be the best at what you do if you’re always upselling something new. We’re the best at WordPress website design and development, hosting, and long-term site management. No website is ever really done—you need someone who grows with you.
That commitment to long-term client care helped Jollity build strong, lasting relationships—something Lauren still believes is the key to good business.
“Existing clients always come first,” she says. “That’s how we stay stable. It lets us respond fast, keep sites up-to-date, and recommend solutions that make sense.”
Life Looks a Little Different Right Now
In August 2024, Lauren stepped away from day-to-day operations at Jollity after being diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. While she’s on extended medical leave, she continues to co-own the company and remains involved behind the scenes, staying in touch with Jenn and the team through monthly check-ins and strategy chats.
Jollity is still my baby. Even while I focus on my health, I’m proud to stay connected, support where I can, and cheer this team on as they keep things moving with heart.

Life Outside of Work (and Zoom)
When Lauren isn’t meeting with Jenn or giving helpful Slack feedback at 2 a.m. (because… cancer insomnia), she’s focused on healing and spending meaningful time with her family. Her husband, Steve, and two kids—Adelyn (7) and Olivia Jade (3)—are her greatest joys.
As a lifelong runner and outdoor enthusiast, life looks a little slower these days, but no less full. She still finds joy in movement, just at a gentler rhythm. Whether hiking Colorado trails and dancing in the living room (on good days), or enjoying slow mornings and kiddo snuggles on the sofa, Lauren’s all about making the most of everyday magic.
Her running pace might have slowed, but her determination hasn’t, as she continues to kick a** at whatever she puts her mind to (brb, defeating cancer at the moment). And still rocking that killer workout playlist.
The Spirit of Jollity
We’re not just going to build an amazing website for you—we’re going to have a damn good time doing it. That’s what makes it joyful. That’s what makes it Jollity.
If you ask Lauren what Jollity means, she’ll tell you straight up:
Jollity • noun
/lively and cheerful activity or celebration/
“The quality of being cheerful. And also… getting sh*t done.”
That vibe? It’s pure Lauren. And even though she’s not currently in the day-to-day, her spirit lives in every pixel, every process, and every person on the team. Jollity is a reflection of her values—joy, grit, collaboration, and doing great work with people you genuinely like.
